NIGERIA'S APEX BANK SELLS $300MILLION IN FOREIGN EXCHANGE



The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has sold 300 million dollars, an equivalent of forty-six billion naira at one hundred and fifty-five naira -seven-six kobo to the dollar at its 68th Wholesale Dutch Auction System (WDAS).

The sale, which took place yesterday, was thirty-three-point-four-four-million dollars, which is five-point-two billion naira higher than the 266-point-five-six-million dollars sold at the same rate on the 4th of this month.
CBN explained that the 300 million dollars sold was the total amount offered for sale. Twenty banks participated in the auction as against 19 at the previous auction.
