ICC ADJOURNS BY ONE WEEK TO ALLOW KENYAN DEPUTY PRESIDENT RETURN TO NAIROBI

The War Crimes trial of Kenyan Deputy President, William Ruto has been adjourned for one week, to enable Mr Ruto return to Nairobi to assist in the ongoing siege at a shopping mall in his country.
Judges at the International Criminal Court gave the approval early today at a hastily arranged hearing.
Announcing the approval, Presiding Judge Chile Eboe-Osuji said William Ruto could leave on a morning flight to Kenya.
Justice Eboe-Osuji voiced the court's "deepest sympathy to Kenyans, the victims, families and all nationals caught up in what she called the “this most difficult time."
Ruto is on trial in The Hague charged with crimes against humanity for allegedly orchestrating violence in the aftermath of Kenya's 2007 presidential election. He has pleaded not guilty.
The hostage crisis began on Saturday at Nairobi's upscale Westgate Mall and has continued as at the time of this report. The gunmen has warned that they will kill the hostages if force is deployed.
