NIGERIA'S APEX BANK TO SELL TREASURY BILLS




The Financial Markets Dealers Association of the Nigeria’s apex bank, CBN says it will sell 225.5 billion naira worth of treasury bills on Thursday, September 26.
According to the FMDA, the bills would be sold through the Primary Market Auction and Open Market Operation.

A report on the CBN’s website, said the bills will consist of 91-day bills worth 31.84 billion naira; 182-day bills worth 59.08 billion naira and 364-day bills worth 33.78 billion naira.
It said that the three bills were expected to yield rates of 11.62 per cent, 11.15 per cent and 13.05 per cent respectively.
At the OMO, the FMDA said it would sell a 183-day bill worth 100.82 billion naira with a yield of 12.50 per cent.
The FMDA was established to address a credible reference rate in the Nigerian money and capital markets.
