NIGERIA'S POWER SECTOR REFORMS FOR OVERAL GOOD--MAKU



The minister of information Labaran Maku today said the federal government privatization policy of the power sector is in the best interest of the nation adding that the decision was informed due to nonchalant attitude of public officers towards its maintenance.

Mr. Maku who made this known at a world press conference in Abuja said politicking among public officers and lack of commitment grounded the power sector and other government infrastructures in the country that are presently not working. He said with the privatization of power sector which has been completed will revamp the power sector to function in full capacity adding that  government is opening up all sectors previously closed to ensure better service delivery through privitization  . 
Speaking on education, Maku also said the rot in the education sector was due to wrong policies and government is building 120 almagiri schools of which 100 has been completed to get children in the north out of the street from begging. He also called on ASUU to sheath their sword and return to the classroom while the issues of owed allowances are been resolved in the interest of the general Nigerian children.
