FCT INVESTIGATES KILLING OF TWINS, LIFTS EMBARGO ON LAND ALLOCATION.



The Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, has appointed a Ministerial Committee to investigate the reported killing of twins by some communities in the FCT.

The Committee is expected to conduct thorough investigation into alleged practice of infanticide in some communities in the FCT as well as assess the general conditions of children in the communities.
Inaugurating the committee yesterday, the Minister of State for the FCT, Olajumoke Akinjide, said the practice was of grave national and humanitarian concern to the FCTA.
The committee is Chaired by the Chairman of Kuje Area Council, Ishyaku Shaban, while the other Area Council Chairmen in the FCT are part of the committee.
Also yesterday, the FCT Administration announced the lifting of embargo on land allocation in the territory.
