The Department of State Security
Services, says twelve people have been arrested in connection with a raid today
at an uncompleted building near the Apo Legislative Quarters, Apo, Abuja.
A statement forwarded to us by the Spokesperson of the SSS, Marylyn Ogar, said a detachment of State
Security operatives acting on information from two suspected Boko Haram
elements, Kama Abdullahi and Mohammed Adamu, stormed the area in the early
hours of this morning to unearth some arms and ammunition.
Ogar said while they were digging up
the arms, the security operatives came under heavy gun attack but responded
swiftly to repel the attack.
She
added that calm has since returned to the area and that investigations have
since commenced.
However, Our correspondents at the scene of the incident
report that no fewer than seven dead bodies littered the scene of the attack.
