President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has
again implored Nigerians to unite against the forces of darkness retarding the
progress of the nation.

At a Special Church Service heralding
the 53rd Independence Anniversary in Abuja on Sunday, President Jonathan again
decried the senseless killings of innocent Nigerians by faceless individuals, especially
as it relates to Sunday’s early morning attack at the College of Agriculture, Gujba,
Yobe State. Unofficial figures put the death toll at over forty.
The Nigerian President however expressed optimism that
the nation will pull through its present challenges.
