INEC on Tuesady, unveiled the personal details of candidates nominated by political
parties for the November 16th Governorship Election in Anambra State.

This
is in line with provisions of Section-31 sub-section-three of the Electoral Act
2010, as amended.
The
list signed by the Secretary to the Commission, and placed on its website, said
a total of 23 political parties nominated candidates for the Governorship and
Deputy Governorship slots.
INEC
further announced that it has accepted the two governorship candidates from the
All Progressives Grand Alliance in accordance with the order of a Federal High
court in Akwa, and also resolved to list Nicholas Ukachukwu, as the
governorship candidate of the PDP in accordance with the latest order of a
Federal High Court, in Port Harcourt.
The Commission however, warned political parties
and their members that only those on the list are allowed to conduct
electioneering campaigns, adding that any violation of this rule amounts to an electoral
offence.
