PRESIDENT JONATHAN ORDERS INVESTIGATION INTO SATURDAY`S AIR MISHAP



President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed shock and ordered an investigation into the crash of the Naval Augusta 109 Helicopter.

Kaduna State Governor, Patrick Yakowa, former National Security Adviser, Andrew Azazi, their Aides, Dauda Tsoho and Warrant Officer Mohammed Kamal as well as the pilots of the Naval Helicopter, Commander Muritala Mohammed Daba and Lieutenant Adeyemi Sowole died at about 4pm on Saturday evening while returning from the burial ceremony of the father of President Jonathan’s aide, Oronto Douglas in Okoroba community, Nembe, Bayelsa State.
The helicopter was reported to have exploded before making a land fall.
Mr Yakowa is the second serving governor to be involved in an air crash this year. The first being the Governor of Taraba State, Danbaba Suntai, who is still recovering abroad.
