Nigeria`s Anti-money laundering ahgency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) on Wednesday arrested Mr Aminu Lamido, son of the Jigawa state governor at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, for money laundering.

Acording to EFCC officials, $40,000 was found on Aminu Lamido as he prepared to board a flight to Egypt.
Mr. Lamido was reportedly flagged
after he declared $10,000 in his possession to officials of the Nigerian
customs Service at the airport.
Further checks byoperatives revealed that he had an additional $40,000 which hefailed to declare.
