President
of the Nigerian Bar Association, Okey Wali says the association will from next
year, sanction any lawyer that addresses journalists outside a court room on
matters that has been tabled before a Judge.

Mr Wali
said such sanction is necessary to halt the current abuse of court
process by some lawyers.
"the practice where lawyers come out from the court room and address a press conference on a matter that has just been presented before a jurist, will no longer be tolerated.....i think by the time one or two of them is sanctioned....the practiec will stop.... they have been warned severally...."he said.
The NBA President assured that the judiciary under
his leadership was repositioning for enhanced performance in the New Year.
