ANXIETY OVER ENUGU GOVERNOR`S HEALTH


Anxiety has continued to mount on the state of health of the Enugu State Governor, Sullivan Chime. The governor, who has not been seen in public for over two months, is rumoured to be receiving medical treatment in India.

In a telephone chat with correspondent Philip Nwelih, the Media Aide to Governor Chime, Mr Chukwudi Achife, denied rumours making the rounds on Saturday that the governor may have passed on. Governor Chime was last seen in public on September 9 this year, during a Forum of South-East Governors in Enugu.
" do you believe such rumours? Is it the first time you hear about such rumours...i mean.... just ignore it....where is the governor in the first place? Please ignore such rumours....people should be careful of news making the rounds in the social media...Achife said.
Governor Chime`s Deputy, Sunday Onyebuchi, has been acting in the governor’s capacity. Reports say Mr Onyebuchi is banned from approving projects above five hundred thousand naira
