The
Federal Government says it will soon resume negotiations with the Senior Staff
Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU to try and forestall a major strike
in the education sector next year.
Minister
of Labour and Productivity, Chuekwuemeka Wogu said government`s delegation will
be lead by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim.

Mr Wogu
noted that issues in contention were agreements signed between the Senior Staff
Association of Universities, and previous administrations.
The Minister of Labour said the meeting will hold
early next year.
