POLICE TIGHTENS SECURITY ACROSS NIGERIAN BORDERS



The Nigeria Police has announced the arrest of two residents of Ghana, Daniel Ofori and Olufumolayo Adeyemo, for allegedly supplying arms and ammunition to criminal groups operating in parts of Nigeria. 
The suspects were arrested at Idiroko, Ogun State, a town bordering Nigeria and the Republic of Benin. A statement issued today in Abuja by the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba said a total of 5,564 rounds of live cartridges were recovered from the suspects. The cartridges were neatly concealed in the engine compartment and the inner crevices of the chassis of a Mercedes Benz 420 SE saloon car.  The statement added that security has been strengthened across the nation`s borders.
