DELTA STATE GOVERNOR CALLS FOR NEGOTIATED SETTLEMENT OF WAGES IN LINE WITH THE CAPACITY OF STATES

Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan has called for the setting up of a process for the negotiated settlement of wages according to the ability of various state governments in Nigeria.

At the ongoing National Summit on Health in Asaba, Delta State, Governor Uduaghan said the current process whereby the federal government fix wages and expect state government to pay same, was not healthy for development.

Governor Uduaghan said this will help reduce the incessant strike actions by workers across the nation
