NIGERIAN FOOTBALL AUTHORITIES CONFIRM LATE RELEASE OF FUND FOR NATIONS CUP CAMPAIGN



The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed the release of 495million naira budget of the Super Eagles for this month`s African Cup of Nations fiesta, which begins tomorrow.
The NFF yesterday, blamed the Central Bank of Nigeria for the late release of the funds, barely hours to the start of the competition.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles arrived Johannesburg, South Africa, on Thursday morning ahead of their Group C campaign on Monday against Burkina Faso, with Coach Stephen Keshi promising to put smiles on the faces of Nigerians.

Defending champions Zambia and Ethiopia are the other teams in their first round group.
Host nation, South Africa, has in the meantime assured of water-tight security, similar to the standard of the World Cup
