NIGERIA: PRESIDENT JONATHAN PROMISES BETTER GOVERNANCE IN 2013

President Goodluck Jonathan has again appealed to Nigerians to support the transformation agenda of the federal government. In a New Year message to the nation, President Jonathan said the appreciable gains recorded in the areas of Infrastructure development, power supply, oil and gas, education, health and agricultural development will be consolidate in 2013.

Dr Jonathan said in 2013, priority will be given to erosion and flood control, improved power supply, rehabilitation and expansion of federal roads, as well as employment and wealth creation. On security, President Jonathan promised to further empower security agencies, by renewing their commitment to rule of law, due process and fair play at all times, in the discharge of their duties
