Emir of Kano Ado Bayero and his eldest son, Chiroma has arrived London for
medical treatment. The Emir Emir was seen off yesterday by the Deputy Governor
of Kano State, Umar
Ganduje, palace chiefs and well wishers.
Addressing
journalists at the Airport, the State Deputy Governor, Umar Ganduje said the medical
trip was routine and not because of Saturday`s armed attack on the Emir`s
convoy.
He
called for peace, assuring that security personnel will apprehend the culprits.
Four people were
confirmed dead on Saturday, when the emir's convoy was ambushed while returning
from a Qur'anic graduation ceremony at Hausawa Quarters in Kano metropolis
