NEMA SAYS PIPELINE FIRE AT AREPO, OGUN STATE HAS BEEN PUT OUT



The National Emergency Management Agency says the pipeline explosion caused by activities of vandals at the Arepo petroleum pipeline in Ogun State has been contained.
 South West Zonal Public Relations Officer of NEMA, Ibrahim Farinloye, said the fire at the explosion site was put out this morning (Thursday) at 11:25 am.

The Pipelines and Product Marketing Company,  had on Wednesday, confirmed an explosion at its System 2B pipeline at the notorious Arepo village in Ogun State.
The explosion occurred barely two weeks after a similar incident in the area caused the death of more than 15 suspected vandals.
The inferno was the fourth time since September last year.
