President Jonathan will this evening (Thursday) host a fund-raising dinner to further assist victims of flood across the federation.
President Jonathan had in a nationwide broadcast on October 9, set up a committee on flood relief and rehabilitation under the co-chairmanship of business mogul, Aliko Dangote and former president of the Nigeria Bar Association, Olisa Agbakoba.
The National
Committee on Flood Relief and Rehabilitation has Dr. Mike Adenuga another
business mogul as the Chief fund mobiliser. The committee has one
year to conclude its tassignment, part of which is to raise funds in aid of Government’s
efforts to provide urgent relief for victims of recent flooding across Nigeria.
