BOKO HARAM DENIES KILLING EX GENERAL SHUWA....says Buhari and others still its prefered mediators
The Islamic sect, Boko Haram has denied reports that it was behind the shooting to death on Friday, of Maj-Gen Mamman Shuwa and other politicians in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
In a teleconference with newsmen in Maiduguri on Sunday, one Abu Mohammed
Abdul-Aziz, who claimed to be the spokesperson for the group, said Boko Haram regards late General Shuwa with high esteem because he has never spoken against the group.

Abdul-Aziz, described the late General as a
responsible person and warned those spreading rumors that the group is
responsible for his killing to desist from such.
The spokesmen equally said the five persons nominated by the Boko Haram as its mediators to the planned peace talk with the federal government are still their trusted and preferd enyoys to witness the negotiation.
The civil war veteran and former member of the Supreme Military
Council, was shot dead by yet to be identified assailatns on Friday with his guest, shortly before the Juma’at prayer. He was buried at the Gwange Cemetary on Saturday according to islamic rites.
Forty other people were said to have been killed in a bloodbath in another part of Maiduguri on Thursday night.
