The Governor of Lagos State, South West Nigeria, Babatunde Fashola has appealed to the National Assembly to approve a 400 million dollars loan for the state.Governor Fashola made the request during a session with the house committee on aids, debts and loan
management.
The governor`s position was contained in a petition presented to the committee on the
matter, convincing them on the need to approve the loan.
He said it is not clear why the executive will withhold its approval
for a loan it had approved initially and one the state is in a good
position to repay
