The
Nigerian Meteorological Agency, has cautioned airlines, motorists, road users
and residents in the North and Central parts of the country to adopt
precautionary measures against the harsh harmattan weather. It also
advised Nigerians to stay in cool and well ventilated environments and avoid
long exposure to direct sun radiation to reduce incidences of dehydration.
The
agency said the country is experiencing the end of the rainy season, which was
usually followed by hot and dry weather conditions in the afternoons, while the
nights would be colder.
