NIGERIAN SENATE CONFIRMS AMBASSADORIAL NOMINEES, ETC
The Senate has confirmed two Ambassadorial nominees sent to it by the Executive.
The nominees are Shuaibu Adamu
(Bauchi state) and Mr M.V. Amaku of Imo State.
Their confirmation today, followed the
adoption of the report of the committee on Foreign Affairs which screened the
nominees.
Presenting the report, Committee Chairman, Senator Mathew Nwagwu said the
nominees were very qualified to be appointed as ambassadors.
Also on Tuesday,
the Senate confirmed Ms Rita Begho as member of the Revenue Mobilization
Allocation and Fiscal Commission.
At the end of deliberation on the matter, the Preident of the Senate, David Mark urged the nominees to
be nationalistic while discharging their duties.
