The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has expressed satisfaction at the current effort by the Nigerian governors to eradicate polio in the country.
Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Jeff Raikes, gave the pass mark after leading a delegation to a meeting with the Nigeria Governors` Forum in Abuja.
He listed Katsina, Borno, Kaduna, Sokoto and Kano as states with renewed zeal in tackling the polio-scourge and called for concerted effort to achieve the 2015 deadline set by President Jonathan.
Mr Raikes told journalists that his delegation toured some northern states to ascertain the progress so far made.
