PASTOR SIGN FIREMAN
Friday claimed that he has been washing cars for the pastor since 2011 when his family was introduced to the church, told journalists on Tuesday at Panti that he went to the pastor on December 29, 2013 and asked for N100,000 to buy clothes for the new year festival.
He said, “When I met my pastor, he said I should go and look for a girl that is under 18 years and strangle her to death. He said while my victim is being strangled, she will excrete hot excreta. The pastor said I should bring the excreta to him and he will give me the money I requested”.
The suspect who lives in Badagry said, “so on Monday December 30 2013, around 9:30am I went to Bose’s mother’s shop to eat. I have known them for a long time and Bose is my friend. After eating, I asked Bose to accompany me somewhere that I wanted to show her something and she obliged. I tricked her into an abandoned NITEL uncompleted building. Where I held her neck and strangled her.
“Her shouting while I was strangling her attracted neighbours around there and the security-man that watches over the place. I attempted to run away but was caught and taken to the police. I was not able to get the excreta again”.
Friday said that was the first time he was carrying out such an assignment for the pastor.
It was gathered that the pastor who has been on the run since police operatives started looking for him, was arrested on Tuesday.
The state command’s spokesperson, Ngozi Braide, a Deputy Superintendent (DSP) said the matter is being investigated and the suspect will be charge to court soon.
She confirmed the arrest of the pastor saying “We just got him today. He is writing his statement”. THE HERALD
