FUEL TANKER EXPLODES IN LAGOS KILLING NINE.



Nigeria’s Federal Fire Service has confirmed the death of nine people at beggar bus stop, along Kirikiri Road in Olodi Apapa area of Lagos state, due to an explosion from a petrol tanker.

Fire Service Operational Commander, Ganiyu Olayiwola, said the incident occurred when the petrol tanker fully laden with 33, 000 litres of petrol fell and caught fire.

He told correspondents that the fire also destroyed four buildings, including a new generation bank and four commercial vehicles.
Commercial activities have been brought to a standstill in the area, as traders are advised to evacuate to forestall further causality.
