LAGOSIANS RECOUNT THEIR EXPERIENCES AFTER TANKER INFERNO

Residents of Lagos State are still coming to terms with yesterday’s fatal accident at Begger Bus Stop, along Kirikiri Road in Olodi Apapa.
A petrol tanker went up in flames on Wednesday, destroying houses, cars, and other personal effects in the area.   Fifteen people were believed to have died in the fire, which resulted from a mechanical failure from the fuel tanker.
Fire Service Operational Commander, Ganiyu Olayiwola, said the incident occurred when the tanker fully laden with thirty-three thousand litres of petrol fell and caught fire, affecting a branch office of Sterling Bank.     Commercial activities are still at a standstill in the area.
