SURE-P BOSS, DR. CHRISTOPHER KOLADE THROWS IN THE TOWEL.



The Chairman, Subsidy Reinvestment Programme, SURE-P, Christopher Kolade has formally resigned his appointment.
Confirming this, the Head of Communications, SURE-P, Garuba Mohammed said Dr Kolade had written to President Goodluck Jonathan in September this year, informing his of his intention to quit office by the end of this month.

Dr Kolade was appointed to ensure credibility in the management of monies realised from the withdrawal of fuel subsidy for the benefit of Nigerians.
But many Nigerians still question the effectiveness of the SURE-P fund, especially at the state level.  A new chairman is expected to be announced this week.
Dr. Christopher Kolade, was Nigeria's former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, a veteran broadcaster, a communicator.
He retired at the age of 45 as the Director General of the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission and joined Cadbury Nigeria Plc as Administration Director where he rose to become the Managing Director and Chairman.
Dr. Kolade equally served as President of the Nigerian Institute of Management; President of the Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, President of the International Institute for Communications and President of the World Association for Christian Communication, among others.
