The National
Executive Council of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, met on Friday in
Kano, to deliberate on the offer presented to them by the federal government.

The NEC meeting, which began on Friday, ended
in the early hours of Saturday.
After the
meeting, the delegates declined to speak to the press. But feeler from the meeting said the lecturers
were split on the suspension of the over five months old strike.
Leadership of ASUU will meet President Jonathan
later this week to present their decision.
