FIFA UNDER-17 WORLD CUP: LOGISTICS PROBLEM STOPS FG DELEGATION FROM CHEERING EAGLETS



 Reports reaching our news desk say the Nigerian Government delegation could not make it to United Arab Emirate, to cheer the Golden Eaglets as they attempt to beat defending champions Mexico today, to lift their fourth Under-17 trophy.

Competent soruces said the delegation could not make the journey due to logistics challenges.
President Jonathan had sent a high-powered delegation headed by the President of the Senate, David Mark to represent the Federal Government at today’s FIFA Under-17 World Soccer Finals between Nigeria and Mexico in UAE.
The delegation include: the Minister of Special Duties, Tanimu Turaki, Labour, Emeka Wogu, Minister of Water Resources, Sarah Ochekpe and the Minister of State, FCT, Olajumoke Akinjide.
The House of Representatives had on Wednesday, agreed to send a delegation to also cheer the Eaglets.
