POLICE CALLS FOR HEIGHTENED VIGILANCE IN LAGOS.

Lagos State Police Command has asked residents to be extra security conscious and report all suspicious objects, movements or characters to security personnel.

The State’s Police Commissioner, Abubakar Umar Manko, made the request at the Lagos House, Marina, after the weekly State Security Council meeting chaired by the State Governor, Babatunde Fashola.
Mr Manko said the State Security Council endorsed the setting up of a joint taskforce of all the Security Services, to track down uniformed personnel who flout restriction laws on the use of motorcycles as well as those who abuse the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lanes.
