To marcus chukwu
of Agbogugu in Awgu local Government Area of Enugu state,he never believed that
a call could seemingly come from his wife claiming that she has been abducted
by unknown gun men and with a demand by the abductor that the sum of two
hundred thousand naira should be paid as a catalyst to the release of his wife
identified as one Nancy chukwu. It was gathered that recently the Enugu state
command of the Nigeria police Force through its operatives of the Anti kidnap
Unit received a report from marcus chukwu in connection with an alleged kidnap
of the wife at Agbogugu in Awgu local Government of Enugu state prompting their
swinging into action.
Investigations conducted in the alleged incident however
revealed that the arrested culprit identified as one chikwe Tochukwu of Amakwe
okeremiri Aboh Mbaise in Imo state an okada rider residing at Agbogugu was the
brain behind the stage managed kidnap with Nancy which was aimed at reaping off
from marcus chukwu the husband the sum of two hundred thousand naira as a
ransom for the release of the wife.According to the seeming penitent culprit,he
said that he is an okada rider that usually convey nancy home anytime she is
back from market but was lured into talking to the husband of nancy while they
were together with a tone that he is a kidnapper already holding nancy under
captivity and that the sum of two hundred thousand naira is to be paid as a
ransom to the account number provided which he also claimed belonged to his
friend chikwado.
Chikwe Tochukwu is helping the operatives in their
investigations just as he is begging for forgiveness. On her part,Nancy
corroborated the fact chikwe Tochukwu is a commercial motorcyclist at Agbogugu
that use to carry her and that she asked her to call the husband while they
were together and demanding the said amount of money from the husband under the
guise that she has been kidnapped by chikwe Tochukwu.According to her,she never
knew what came over her prompting such behaviour while she also pleaded for
forgiveness.A full scale investigations into the alleged incident is
