NIGERIA: FEDERAL GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES NATIONAL STROKE PREVENTION PROGRAMME.



 President Goodluck Jonathan and Vice President Namadi Sambo has flagged off the Nigerian National Stroke Prevention Programme.
The health initiative, is to be managed by the Federal Ministry of Health in partnership with teaching hospitals and Nigerians in the diaspora. Minister of Health, Dr Onyebuchi Chukwu said the Federal Government is worried by the spate of sudden deaths of Nigerians in their prime age and urged the populace to go for regular medical check. The Health Minister explained that the new health programme which has been subsidized from fifty, to ten thousand naira.
