The Head of Kenya’s military,
Julius Karangi has announced that two soldiers have been sacked and jailed for
looting during last month's attack on the Westgate shopping centre.
Mr Karangi equally announced that a
third soldier was being investigated.
You will recall that the Army Chief had
previously disputed CCTV footage of soldiers looting the super market, saying
that soldiers had only taken water during the four-day siege.
At the same news conference, Head of
the Police Criminal Investigation Department, Ndegwa Muhoro said that the Interpol
was helping to analyse the bodies to confirm their identities of charred victims
and attackers.
Mr Muhoro said that five suspects are in detention over
the attack and would be charged soon
