NIGERIA: NATIONAL CONFAB DELIBERATIONS TO BE REVIEWED BY NASS.

Nigeria’s President, Goodluck Jonathan, has explained that the outcome of the proposed national conference will be sent to the National Assembly for deliberation.
President Jonathan gave the clarification yesterday in Abuja, while playing host to a delegation of Muslim faithful resident in Abuja.
The Sallah homage, was led by the Vice President Namadi Sambo.
The President restated that the proposed dialogue was not for his personal interest, adding that its timing could not have been better as the national assembly is considering vital decisions of amending the 1999 constitution.
Dr Jonathan said, rather than read negative motives behind the decision, Nigerians should
work towards ensuring that its recommendations are properly captured in the nation’s law books
