MAN DOCKED IN ABUJA, NIGERIA FOR IMPREGNATING HIS DAUGHTER

An Upper Area Court in Karu, a surburb of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria has remanded a forty-two year old man, Rufua Alabi, in prison for allegedly impregnating his 16-year-old daughter.
Police prosecutor, Pascal Njoku, said the incident happened at Kurudu Village, Abuja, in 2012 adding that his daughter is currently six months pregnant.
The police prosecutor said the matter was reported at the Jikwoyi Police Station by the victim's mother, Bose. The victim was later certified pregnant by a medical doctor.
The presiding Judge, Umar Kagarko, adjourned the case to July 3rd for hearing.
