POLICE ARREST 3 MAN GANG FOR BEHEADING 17YEAR OLD GIRL



Kogi state police command is investigating the alleged involvement of a serving councillor with the beheading of a seventeen year old girl.
Announcing this in Lokoja, the State Police Commissioner, Hilary Opara, said the councillor contacted three people to carry out the act for ritual purposes.


Mr. Opara said Hon. Yahaya Isa who is a serving councillor in Aloji ward in Ofu local government area of Kogi state had on the 13th of June, contracted Suleiman Yunusa, Isiaka John, and Alifa Maha to get him the head of a 17 years old girl idenfified as Igbere Ogbadu, for an undisclosed sum of money.
The Kogi State Police Commissioner said the suspects confessed to the crime and that the decomposing body of the victims, was recovered between Ofoja and Achigili village in Ofu Local Council Area of the state.  
Mr Opara also paraded a five man kidnap gang believed to have masterminded the abduction of the paramount ruler of Ejule, chief Simon Shaibu.
The traditional ruler was accused of facilitating the arrest of their member, Mudi Ibrahim, at the Chari Megumeri barracks, Lokoja, when he sought to be enlisted into the Nigerian Army.
