The moment a bomb disposal expert risked his life to defuse a suicide vest after a failed attack has been captured on camera.
The Afghan soldier managed to disarm the would-be bomber who was tied up to prevent him from detonating the device.
He was captured and driven away by soldiers after the failed blast in Jalalabad.

The scene was reminiscent of the Oscar-winning film The Hurt Locker, which focused on a bomb disposal team in Iraq.

Meanwhile, Afghan security forces prevented a suicide bombing in the capital Kabul when they shot dead another would-be bomber.
The attacker was wearing a military uniform as he approached the National Directorate of Security office early on Monday morning.
Taliban rebels have stepped up attacks in Afghanistan at the same time as the US is trying to revive a stalled peace process before 100,000 Nato troops leave the country next year.
The Afghan government has said talks will only resume when the Taliban meets Kabul's negotiators, something the rebels have consistently refused to do.
British Prime Minister David Cameron visited Afghanistan and Pakistan at the weekend as part of the Western push to end the Taliban insurgency.
