Outgoing Governor of Anambra State,
Peter Obi said yesterday that his administration did not receive more than
620billion naira within the past seven years.
Mr Obi stated this yesterday in
Awka while rendering account of his stewardship, at an even attended by
prominent Nigerians and Anambra indigenes.

He said he was able to deploy the
meagre resources to positive use, by reducing the cost of governance.
While
appealing to Anambra people to support the governor-elect, Willie Obiano, Mr
Peter Obi said his administration has been able to save 60billion naira for the
state. He added that he will hand over seventy-five billion naira (75billion naira) to his successor, Willie Obiano, when he finally bows out of office on March 17. Meanwhile, President Goodluck Jonathan is scheduled to visit Anambra State tomorrow, Monday, March 10 to formally perform the ground breaking ceremony (the commencement of work) of the Second Niger Bridge Project.
