The
Nigerian Government has formally appointed the leadership of the National
Confab, scheduled to commence on the tenth of this month.
A
statement published in Abuja today by the Secretary to the Government of the
Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim, said a former Chief Justice of the
Supreme Court, Idris Kutigi, will chair the Confab.

The
statement also listed former Foreign Affairs Minister, Professor Bolaji
Akinyemi, will serve as Deputy Chairman, just as Dr Mrs Valeria Azinge will
serve as Secretary.

The
appointees are to resume in Abuja on Wednesday, May 5 and would be recieved on behalf of the federal government by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim.
