ONDO DEPUTY GOVERNOR'S CONVOY KILLS JOURNALISTS, WIFE, DAUGHTER & HOUSEHELP



The convoy of the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Ali Olanusi, was involved in an auto crash yesterday, killing four people including the chairman of the Nigerian Television Authority, (NTA) Akure Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Alex Akinwale, his wife, daughter and housemaid.

Witnesses said the accident occurred in Aponmu-Owena along Ondo road, when it came head to head with a white Toyota Camry transporting a traditional ruler, the Osomakinde of Ife Tuntun in Osun State, Oba Taofik Olaposi.
The Ondo State Deputy Governor’s car was reported to be travelling on high speed, while heading to a function in Ondo town.
Although the Deputy Governor escaped unhurt, the injured and dead victims have been deposited at the mortuary of the State specialist hospital in Akure.
