NIGERIAN GUILD OF EDITORS LAMENTS THE MURDER OF NEWSWATCH DEPUTY EDITOR, TOYIN OBADINA

The Nigerian Guild of Editors yesterday urged the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Umar Manko, to urgently track down the killers of the Deputy Editor, Newswatch Newspapers, Toyin Obadina.
The request is part of a statement issued by the NGE President, Femi Adesina.

While condemning the proliferation of small arms across the country, the Nigerian Guild of Editors urged relevant authorities to rise to the occasion and end acts of criminality in Nigeria.
Mr Obadina was shot on Friday by yet to be identified gunmen, on his way to his residence, in Ikorodu, Lagos. He was rushed to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital where he gave up the ghost early today.
