TANKER GOES UP IN FLAMES AT NNPC MEGA FILLING STATION, ABUJA



Management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, are investigating the reasons behind today’s inferno at its Mega Filling Station in Central Area, Abuja.
Eye witnesses told Our Correspondent that the fire started at about 4pm today, when a tanker was discharging petroleum products at the station.
They added that only the tanker driver and conductor sustained severe burns.
Operations officer of the Federal Fire Service, Imeh Eyo, said the fire could have been caused by the weather or negligence.  
Similarly, the Managing Director, NNPC Retail, Faruk Bello, said the actual cause of the fire would be ascertained. 
Yesterday’s incident is the second fire accident to hit fuel stations in Abuja
