The Lagos State Police Command says peace has been
restored to the Ajah\Ilaje and its environ despite distress call received that
yet another causality has been recorded.
Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide disclosed
that after the security personnel dispatched to the area had left the troubled
zone, some miscreant started formenting trouble and the police returned to
maintain law and order.
Miss Braide told our correspondent that the
police have arrested two culprits in connection with the unrest and have been
transferred to Special Anti-Robbery Squad Ikeja for interrogation.
She added that due to the unending crisis in the area
that started on Monday, the state commissioner of Police has ordered that
mobile squadrons be permanently stationed in the area until peace is restored.
