Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan has flagged-off the de-worming programme of the Federal Medical Centre Asaba for children in the flood camps across the state.
De-worming some of
the children in the SPC camp in Asaba, Dr Uduaghan said the exercise was timely
given the environment children of that age were exposed to.
He said because it
was not a conducive environment there was need to de-worm the children because
of the change in their feeding pattern.
The Governor therefore
appealed to parents in the rehabilitation camps to embrace the programme as it
would keep their children healthy.
