EX UNIZIK VC, ILOCHI OKAFOR ABDUCTED

Yet to be identified gunmen on Sunday kidnaped the former Vice Chancellor of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State and a two-time Attorney General of the old Anambra State, Prof. Ilochi Okafor, who is also a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, (SAN).
Okafor was equally an aspirant in the 2011 Anambra State governorship election.
Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu confirmed that the incident occurred at about 8am on Sunday, at Professor Okafor’s residence along Pioneer Avenue in Independence Layout, Enugu State.
Mr Amaraizu said Okafor was abducted as he was about leaving for church.
