JOINT TASK FORCE DISLODGE TERRORISTS IN BORNO



The Joint Task Force in Maiduguri, Borno state says three members of the islamic fundamentalists sect, Boko Haram and one soldier were killed in a gun duel.
Spokesman of the JTF, Lieutenant Colonel Sagir Musa, announced this in a ststement published on Wednesday.
Musa said the Task Force acting on information carried out a cordon and search operation at Bulabulin Ganram area of Maiduguri Metropolis and witnessed a severe resistance from the insurgents.
The gunfight which began at about12:30PM, resulted in the death of three insurgents and one soldier as one other soldier was injured.
The statementequally said that one member of the JTF who is an immigration personnel was missing and still being sought for.
The statement adds that 31 members of Boko Haram were arrested, while one AK 47 Rifle, one G 3 rifle and some assorted magazines and ammunition were recovered from the scene.
