President Goodluck Jonathan has
flagged off a Rural Electrification Project, tagged Operation Light Up Rural Nigeria.
The programme, is designed to
provide solar powered electricity to rural communities across the nation, as a
means of guaranteeing stable power.
President Jonathan, who launched
the programme in Durumi, Bwari Area Council of Abuja, said the project will be
expanded for private sector financing.
The pilot project will be replicated in all senatorial
zones in Nigeria/
