COURT GRANTS BAIL TO 2 CHINESE NATIONALS FOR BRIBING EFCC OFFICIAL.

A High Court sitting in Sokoto State has granted bail to two Chinese nationals accused of bribing a top EFCC official.

They are to provide five million naira each and two sureties in like sum, one of whom must reside in Sokoto State, with landed property and Certificate of Occupancy for the property.

 The Chinese nationals were arrested on the 11^th of this month for offering a hundred million naira bribe to the Zonal Head of the EFCC, Mr. Abdullahi Lawal to help compromise current investigations of a construction firm, China Zhonghao Nig. Ltd. The firm was awarded a fifty-billion-naira contract by the Zamfara State Government between 2012 to 2019.

Mr. Meng Wei Kun and Mr. Xu Koi concealed 50 million naira, which is half of the hundred million naira bribe in a four cartons of table water. More Details later.
